Dynamic Content Translation: Translate Your App Content to Other Languages
With our Dynamic Content Translation feature enabled, any app content that you add in English using the Thrive CMS, will be either automatically or optionally translated to a number of our supported languages if a user's phone is set to one of those languages.
This feature translates your content from English to your chosen supported languages, and only works with English as the base language to be translated. It will not (for example) translate from French to another language.
Our Dynamic Content Translation is a premium feature which will incur a small charge per supported language. Please get in touch with your Client Success Manager who will be able to advise with more detail on pricing.
As of November 2024 we support the following languages:
And for each language there are two options to choose from: whether your content will automatically be translated when published, or whether it will be up to the Admin/Editor to enable translation on a case by case basis:
In this case, all content will automatically be translated to Bulgarian without the author having to take any action. However, if you wish to enable translation only on a case by case basis with the other option selected, you can do this using the Translations tab for your content in the CMS. The Translations tab only appears when the Dynamic Content Translation Feature is enabled:
If the option for case by case translations has been chosen, the content author needs to open this tab and tick the languages they want their content translated to. If the automatic translation option has been chosen, then all of the supported languages will automatically be ticked and translated like the above example, when the author publishes the content.
The most popular option among our customers is for automatic translation, so that the content authors don't need to remember to use this Translations tab every time they publish something new.
Translation of Existing Content
If you are enabling our Dynamic Content Translation feature after your app has launched, you can also choose whether you want to retroactively translate all of your existing content, or to just translate new content going forward. Depending on the amount of existing content, a small fee will be incurred for retroactive translation. Please speak to your Thrive Client Success Manager who will be able to advise in more detail, and can run the retroactive translation if you feel it's necessary.
