Embedding Web Content Just Got Even Easier With Our New Smarter Embed Widget!

You told us that embedding web content like videos and GIFs using HTML was a bit too fiddly and annoying. So to make embedding easier, this week we've added our new Smart Embed Widget to Pages in the Thrive CMS!

No More Editing HTML Code

The most commonly embedded content among our customers is from YouTube, Vimeo, Giphy and Google Maps, so we've focused on making it much simpler to embed content from those sites. No more hunting for and editing HTML code. Now you can simply paste in your video URL, and our Smart Embed Widget will do the rest!

Videos from YouTube & Vimeo

For YouTube and Vimeo videos, just copy and paste the full URL from your browser's address bar then press the blue arrow button. Now you'll even see a preview of the video right there in the CMS before you publish your page to your app!

Animated GIFs from Giphy & Directions on Google Maps

For Giphy and Google Maps, simply choose the share and embed option on their websites. Then copy the embed code they give you, over to the Smart Embed Widget. No need to edit the embed code to make it fit right... the Smart Embed Widget will do all the work to make it look just right in your app!

And Everything Else...

And for anything else you want to embed on a page, you've still got the custom HTML option right there in the Smart Embed Widget. That will continue to allow you to paste in your own HTML code to embed any other types of content.
