Adding Surveys, Quizzes & 3rd Party Forms as Web Pages

For Forms, in the first instance we recommend that instead of creating the form on a 3rd party website - you instead create it natively in the Thrive CMS using our Formbuilder feature which allows the creation of many types of native forms for your employees to complete in your app. One of the big benefits of using the Thrive formbuilder over embedding a form in your app from a 3rd party service, is that native Thrive forms will recognise the employee competing them, so you don't have to ask the employee to enter any of their own details. Plus, you're not trusting your employee data to a 3rd party!

Should you decide to use a 3rd party form, the easiest way to add such a form, survey or quiz to your app is to add it as a Web Page within a List.

Start by creating your activity on your chosen third-party website.

Whichever provider you use to create your form, quiz or survey, you'll get an option to share it as a URL. This is the URL you want to add to the Thrive CMS as a Web Page.

Let's use the example of a quiz created on Typeform. In Typeform, choose the option to share your quiz/form as a URL as follows:

Typeform Share URL

Then in the Thrive CMS, inside whichever list is appropriate press the + icon to add new content, then choose Web Page:

Now simply paste your quiz URL into the URL box, give it a title and use the appearance tab to add a Featured Image:

When published, it will appear as a content item within your list. When a user taps on it, the quiz web page will be presented in the in-app browser. This gives your users the impression of still being within the app, rather than being taken out to an external service. So even though your quiz or form was created using a third-party service, to your users the quiz feels like it's still part of the app:
