The Role


Thrive are looking to hire a Product Owner who is passionate about delivering high quality products in a dynamic, collaborative environment using the latest tech stack. The successful candidate will be responsible for specifying new and enhanced product features and communicating these via product design requirements to the development team. If you’re a person who enjoys creating thoughtful, responsive, high-quality solutions, we’d love to chat with you about the role.

You will form part of the Product team working alongside the Product Designer with direct line of contact to the company owners/directors and the ability to shape the future direction of the product and the company. You will play a key role in the further development of our core product to facilitate our ambitious growth plans.

Your Responsibilities


  • Identification and exploratory analysis of potential new platform features and platform enhancements based on:

    • Current Customer feedback

    • Sales-driven requests

    • General Market research

  • Managing Client Workshops, interviews and other methods to extract the information above

  • Driving the initial stages of the Software Development lifecycle process working with the Technical Leads to plan and estimate future product development items

  • Identifying, and potentially implementing, process improvements to assist with efficiency and quality of product enhancements

  • Documenting detailed Functional Specifications of planned development in conjunction with the UX/UI designer

  • Working closely with the Technical team during delivery to minimise any blockages and resolve any ambiguities

  • Assisting the Product Designer with initial functionality testing

  • Maintaining the Product Roadmap and the Product Solution Description documentation

  • Liaising with key clients on planned features and any adhoc future product queries

  • Supporting the Sales team in analysing/estimating any bespoke product requests

  • Assisting the Client Success team in answering any complex product capability queries

Your Experience and Skills


  • At least 2 years experience in business analysis or related work in a software development environment

  • Exceptional documentation and communication skills including ability to deliver presentations using structure & style appropriate to audience

  • Ability to work to tight deadlines and make sensible decisions under pressure taking a balanced view of technical complexity and delivery timescales

  • Capable of effective prioritisation of tasks and personal time management, while recognising and flagging issues outside area of own expertise

  • Ability and motivation to confidently carry out work unsupervised

  • Good team player capable of delivering results within demanding timescales and constraints

  • Comfortable working in a technical environment

  • Ability to thrive in a fast paced, international, Client-oriented environment
