Here's a selection of the most common queries.
Is the platform secure and compliant with data protection?
Yes, security and data protection including GDPR compliance is comprehensively covered by our ISO27001 Information Security Management System (ISMS) which is independently audited and certified.
As an ISO27001 Certified organisation the protection of personal data is paramount. This starts with only collecting the absolute minimum amount of personal data required for the app to function. Through our ISO ISMS all access to the data is strictly controlled and only key support staff can access it in the event of providing technical support. This is all underpinned by our technical architecture and design choices within the Microsoft Azure cloud.
In addition, Thrive.App are independently penetration tested on a regular basis. Many of Thrive.App’s clients are very large multinational organisations with extensive information security requirements which we are delighted to say we have met over the last decade.
What hardware / devices can be used to access your product?
Thrive.App supports smartphones, tablets and desktop/laptop access.
Our iOS apps are truly native apps for your Apple mobile devices. The apps are built to meet all industry standards and the app binaries are regularly assessed directly by Apple and meet their exacting standards. The iOS apps are compatible with both iPhone and iPad devices. Apple dictate the distribution methods for employee apps and as part of the setup project we will advise on the most appropriate method for app distribution to Apple devices. We currently support iOS versions iOS 13, iOS 14 and iOS 15. This covers 95% of iOS devices in use today. As you would expect device support will evolve over time.
Our native Android apps provide dedicated layouts for Android smartphones and Android tablets. The rapid proliferation of Android devices globally has resulted in a massive variation from device to device. This includes variations in screen size, processing power, operating systems and storage capacity. At Thrive.App, we have expended significant efforts to elevate the quality of Android apps, providing an excellent user experience right across the Android population. Our experience working with leading enterprises globally has driven us to develop our Android apps to be excellent performers even in the most remote and challenging environments. The Google Play store is the most common method of app distribution for Android devices. Supported Android Versions are Android 7.1 and above. Due to the high number of Apple & Android devices in circulation, we have to nominate a subset on which to physically test. Our selection is based on some of the most popular devices sold and with hundreds of thousands of employees using our apps and no major issues being reported we are confident in our device support and testing coverage.
Thrive.App’s web app provides secure access to exactly the same content from the app via any modern browser including Windows based environments and linking to this from the staff intranet is a straightforward task of including a web link from your intranet to our web app.
What is a typical timeline for the introduction of the platform?
On average 6-8 weeks although this can vary depending on how quickly you can complete your elements of the project such as uploading content into the CMS and signing off app design visuals.
What support is provided during set up and my contract?
The Thrive.App client success team walk new clients through a structured 90-day success plan to launch their app with the best start, and then continually provide advice, tips, best practices and training throughout the duration of the contract. The Thrive.App’s content management system also includes step-by-step ‘Learning Tracks’ which include project plans and tick lists of tasks that users can go through in their own time to ensure their app content is engaging and that the app is set up for success.
Do I need IT (Information Technology) support to deploy Thrive.App?
The deployment is very straightforward. Our Client Success team will guide you through this process: because of this, many clients do not need IT support to deploy their Thrive.App platform and apps.
How should I measure success of the app?
Our Client Success team will help you define, tailor and measure success to suit your organisation’s individual needs. When measuring the success or effectiveness of a digital platform like an employee app, it is easy to fall into the trap of relying only on the numbers: the number of logins per week, the number of comments or likes, or the number of employees with the app installed. While those stats are of course useful, they do not tell the whole story. We have produced the five following considerations to help you get a richer understanding of how to measure the success, impact, and effectiveness of your employee app. Read more about this here.
