August Highlights: Ideas To Add Some Summer Fun To Your Thrive App!
One of the keys to a successful employee app is to create a fun and engaging experience that brings employees together, and drives a sense of community and a connected culture. With this in mind, here are some special days and ideas this August you can use to create engaging content for your employee app.

7th August: Cycle to Work Day
Does your company have a cycle to work scheme? If so, use Cycle to Work Day on the 7th August to highlight the scheme and encourage your employees to sign-up to stay healthy & active, and to help the environment by cutting their carbon footprint!

8th & 26th August: International Cat & Dog Days!
This one's a no-brainer, really. Everyone loves an excuse to post a picture of their furry friends. For International Cat Day on 8th August and International Dog Day on 26th, make 'Share Your Pets' your UGC theme for August. Consider running a competition to up the stakes too. Ask employees to enter their pet pics in various categories like 'Best Outfit', 'Cutest Kitten' and 'Best Double Act' with prizes to be won for pics with the most likes!

19th August: World Photography Day
Or perhaps your employees would prefer to show off their artistic talents? In that case, World Photography Day on 19th August is a great excuse to ask your employees to share their very best snaps with their colleagues! Ask a panel of managers to pick their top five entries, then embed a picture-poll on a page in your app to ask everyone to vote for the winner.

30th August: National Beach Day
On National Beach Day on the 30th August, use your employee app to organise a beach clean-up! You can invite employees either by using the Thrive Planner feature, or by creating a Page and setting an Event Acknowledgement on it. Also promote the clean-up in your News feed and encourage employees to clean their local beaches, and sharing photos of their efforts!

We hope these ideas spark some inspiration to add some Summer fun to your Thrive employee app.
