Employee Timesheet Submission With Thrive Formbuilder ⏰

Evidence right across our customer-base shows that employee apps that solve problems for employees, by providing them with an improved way of achieving a task, have much higher levels of usage and engagement than those that rely on employee communications alone.

If you have employees who have to submit regular timesheets; especially if they have to print out and fill in paper forms, why not use the Thrive Formbuilder to create a slick, digital, in-app way of completing and submitting those timesheets?

And Formbuilder just got even more powerful: New conditional email rules mean that you can now make the form submissions go to different email addresses, depending on which option the user chooses in one of your fields. In the example below the user is asked to select their work area or department: when they select their own department from the drop-down their timesheet submission will go to the specific manager for that department. Setting up these conditional email rules to build this kind of process in the Thrive CMS is super easy, and really helps to supercharge the usefulness of your app by improving the process (for timesheets in this case!) and making your app a real must-have for your employees!

4th May: Find the Yoda for Star Wars Day 👽

Have a bit of fun with your app by celebrating International Star Wars day with an in-app Yoda Hunt competition using our Acknowledgements feature! Here's how it works...

Announce that throughout May you'll be hiding a Yoda in an image somewhere in your app. Employees hunt for that day's / week's Yoda and when they find it, they simply press the I found the Yoda button that you've added to that page using the Acknowledgements - Competition feature! Anyone who finds the Yoda gets an entry to the competition.

It will work best if you have even a small budget for a prize for finding each Yoda. Even something simple like a free coffee from the staff canteen can work. You could even create the coffee voucher as PDF and send it to the winner using the Thrive Locker!

Refer a Friend In-App to Boost Recruitment 💼

Running a Refer a Friend scheme not only benefits your existing employees with incentives and rewards, but is also a huge benefit to your organisation too. Friend-referred employees have consistently higher retention rates and cost significantly less to hire when you consider the savings on recruiter and agency fees.

So why not harness the power of your Thrive app to encourage your employees to engage with your Refer a Friend programme? This represents yet another powerful use-case for the Thrive Form builder feature, and another opportunity to make your app even more useful for your employees and drive more value for your organisation.

Simply create a Form like the example below, and set it up to send the submissions to your recruitment team for consideration!

Grow Your App by Expanding Content Ownership Right Across Your Organisation 🚀

Thrive customers with the most successful apps and highest levels of usage and employee engagement are those who make sure that their apps are a truly useful and interesting resource for their employees. It's really difficult to achieve this when app ownership rests with a single team or department - usually Internal Comms or HR.

You can give your app the best chance of success by encouraging a whole-business approach to the ownership of content creation. Which other teams can you get involved? Could the Operations team start to use it for posting rotas or advertising overtime shifts using the Thrive Planner? Or perhaps you could encourage the Training / L&D team to get involved by managing a section of the app dedicated to available training courses.

An example that has proven particularly popular, and helped to drive an increase in app usage recently for a Thrive customer; was getting their Catering Team on-board to post their daily canteen menu. They got the idea from employee feedback that it was annoying to only find out what's on the menu when showing up to the canteen. So they expanded content ownership to the Catering Team to post that day's menu each morning, and it has gone down a treat with their employees!

Consider how you could encourage wider app adoption and ownership by getting other teams involved in content creation.
